Dr. Prakash U. Tahiliani passed his M.B;B.S. in the year 1981. He started his medical practice in Navsari (Gujarat), India. During his years of practice he encountered many cases of Multi Drug Resistant Malaria. These cases are specially difficult to treat because the Allopathic treatment tends to loose its effectiveness and also weakens the body's immune system if anti-malarial drug is used repeatedly or in higher dosage. This motivated him to search for an alternative.

Since Dr. Prakash U. Tahiliani hails from a family of well known Ayurvedic physicians he went back to his roots to search for an alternative. After several years of observation, hard work and thorough research, his efforts culminated in the Ayurvedic formulation 'Cap. Plasmonil'. Multi Drug Resistant Malaria is now effectively treatable by 'Cap. Plasmonil'. It kills the parasite Plasmodium through body's immune system, reduces the recurrence rate and normalizes the disturbed Rheological Properties of the blood.

Dr. Prakash U. Tahiliani treated more than 2000 cases of Multi Drug Resistant Malaria with Cap. Plasmonil over a period of 17 years (between the year 1984 and 2001). The success rate was more than 95% in Falciparum and more than 90% in Vivax Malaria cases. This motivated him to set up his own manufacturing unit 'Prime Ever Ayurvedic Research Laboratories (PEARL)' in the year 2001 in Navsari, India.

Dr. Prakash U. Tahiliani

To make the treatment of multi drug resistant Malaria available to a wider number of patients he delivered lectures in many forums like Lions Club, Rotary Club, District Health Centers and seminars organized for clinicians and medical practitioners across India. Dr. Prakash U. Tahiliani is one among the few medical practitioners who have been able to merge the skills of both Allopathic and Ayurvedic systems of medicine that are considered by many to be incompatible. He bridges a cultural divide in the health care profession.

Dr. Prakash U. Tahiliani has written two scientific papers on Malaria -

1. "Bizarre Presentations of Malaria". This paper is based on the study of 150 patients of Malaria. It is helpful in the Diagnosis of Malaria.
2. "Role of Cap. Plasmonil in Treatment of Recurrent Malaria". This paper is based on the study of 200 patients of Recurrent Malaria. It demonstrates the results of Cap. Plasmonil in Recurrent Malaria cases.
